Overview Welder Responsibilities:
- Majority of time will be MIG welding, TIG welding ability is a plus
- Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining aluminum/steel metals to specifications.
- Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
- Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
- Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
- Determining correct gas ratios.
- Testing the strength of each weld during and after project completion.
- Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
- Liaising with the supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.
- High School diploma or similar
- Have at least 3-5 years' experience in a welding position .
- Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Sound understanding of welding safety.
- Willingness to be welding certified through the company.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
