Office Assistant

Seeley Consulting LLC

501(c)(6) organization in Washington, DC seeking an experienced Office Assistant. This is a hands-on, people-facing role that supports the daily operations during core business hours. The Office Assistant serves as a reliable point of contact for staff onsite, helps maintain a welcoming and organized environment, and manages recurring daily tasks with strong time awareness and follow-through.Role Type: Contract-to-hireStart Date: ASAPDays in Office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (if hired, Monday and Friday are remote)Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMStart of Day ResponsibilitiesTurn on office lightsCollect mail and packages from the front desk or mailroomSort and deliver items to appropriate staff or locationsCafe and Butler Pantry SupportRestock supplies such as coffee pods, milk, cocoa powder, plates, napkins, utensils, condiments, and sweetenersMaintain cleanliness and organization of shared kitchen spacesFridge Checks and RestockingCheck all office fridges daily for restock needsUse nearby cabinet supplies first, then pull from kitchen storageNote any items that are out of stock and email the supply contactCopy Machine and Supply AreasRestock paper and basic office supplies as neededWalkthrough and General TasksConduct daily walkthroughs of storage areas to monitor organization and supply levelsCheck in with facilities contact when on-siteReview and respond to emails and Teams messagesReview product orders and coordinate shipments and related shipping logisticsProcess outgoing shipments via FedExMonitor and respond to facilities requests submitted through our Facilities FormMonitor and coordinate business card ordersMaintain simple tracking and follow-ups to ensure requests and orders are completedMeeting and Office SupportProvide light support for in-office meetings or staff gatherings, including room setup, supply preparation, and post-meeting resets as neededServe as a friendly, professional point of contact for staff, visitors, and vendors while onsiteEnd of Day ResponsibilitiesRecheck fridge and kitchen supply levelsSend a daily supply needs email to the supply contactPlace Amazon orders as needed if items are not available through our supply contactAdditional NotesThis role requires regular movement throughout the office, including walking, lifting light supplies, and being on your feet for portions of the dayComfort using Outlook, Teams, and email for daily communication and coordination is importantThe role requires strong time management, adaptability, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving needs
