Assistant General Manager

Overview Chipotle is growing fast and looking for apprentices who want to evolve into General Managers. Apprentices will assist in the day‑to‑day operations of restaurants, learning how to run schedules, manage P&L, forecast sales, recruit and interview, and provide a Guest Obsessed experience. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan Quarterly bonus program Tuition assistance (subject to eligibility requirements) Career growth opportunities Paid time off Holiday closures What You’ll Do Be guest obsessed – uphold top‑notch standards of excellence and hospitality Act as the leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, accuracy, and a positive guest experience Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time Learn to run day‑to‑day operational business of a restaurant (creating and managing a schedule, managing P&L, forecasting sales, recruiting, and interviewing) Ensure the dining room is clean and the restaurant is guest‑ready Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards Work a standard 50‑hour workweek (including evening and weekend shifts) with applicable overtime paid What You’ll Bring to the Table Guest Obsessed passion for hospitality Friendly and enthusiastic attitude Desire to grow into a General Manager role Enthusiasm for developing people and leading teams Preferred previous restaurant management experience (scheduling, P&L management, food safety, sales forecasting, recruiting) Physical Requirements The role requires standing and walking around the restaurant for at least 10 hours a day, lifting up to 50lbs (25kg), working in varied temperatures, tasting and preparing food, and strong communication with the Chipotle team and customers.
