Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking aligned to district curriculum standards. Use a variety of instructional practices to engage learners, differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, and foster a classroom culture that supports student voice, academic growth, and meaningful discourse. Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide appropriate scaffolds, supports, and enrichment opportunities for students. Qualifications Hold appropriate licensure for the position. Passion for working with children and willingness to contribute positively to the school community. Terms of Employment 183 Days Reports To Director of English and Building Principal Salary and Benefits Salary and benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. The Salary Schedule is on the website. Salary placement is based on education and experience. New Teacher Induction and Orientation Arlington has a well‑established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the 2026‑2027 school year will be August 31, 2026. New staff are required to attend several days of orientation and training during the last two weeks of August.
