Service Contract Act (SCA) Position

Hourly Rate: $17.20 - $18.00

Full-Time and On-Call Positions Available

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cook I is responsible for preparing center meals, establishing menu, and determining quantities of food needed.
• Plans and coordinates procedures necessary for day-to-day operations of center dining facility.
• Efficient and timely arrangement, servicing, and clean-up of meals.
• Cook I maintains complete inventory file on food and equipment, ensures minimum waste through efficient storage, inventory, and food utilization.
• Maintains strict safety and sanitation codes and procedures; submits weekly activity and other reports as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 2+ Years' Food Preparation Training and Related Work Experience Preferred
• Must Possess or Be Able to Obtain a ServSafe Food Safety Certification
• Required to Pass a Drug Screen in Compliance with Our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace Policy
• Employment is Contingent Upon Successful Completion of a Nationwide Criminal Background Check
