About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days/Eves/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to multiple units; experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips. Description: Float throughout the facility to various Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. Experience with telemetry monitoring must include measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. Care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU and serve as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit. Units range from 8 to 41 beds, with a total bed count of 371. Candidates should be prepared for a rotation that includes days, evenings, and potentially up to 3 rotations to nights during the contract period. Familiarity with EMR charting systems is required. Active Massachusetts RN License is a prerequisite. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory.
