Certified Medical Assistant

$17.92 / hour CoreCivic provides care for inmates. We are looking for Certified Medical Assistants with a passion for quality care in an institutional setting. Responsibilities include: Administer medication to inmates/residents under direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator. Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient condition as needed. Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments. Assist nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures and treatments. Engage in confined area tasks such as working rotating shifts and checking doors, windows, and other areas to verify they are secure. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater. State certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meet state guidelines for certification exceptions. Valid driver's license required. Minimum age 18 years.
