Software Developement Advisor

NTT Data has immediate need for an experienced ETL / ELT developer with expertise in IBM Data Stage, SQL, Teradata/Oracle and data analysis to design and develop third party data extracts using data sourced from enterprise data warehouse. Qualified candidate is expected to participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand business context, identify-analyze-understand enterprise data needed to meet user requirements and translate technical specification to code artifact. Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and support Data Integration applications using Data Stage, Teradata and Oracle platforms - Act as liaison for a small team of associates distributed across different geographic locations and support the technical delivery and resolution- Participate in peer reviews - Debug data quality issues by analyzing the upstream sources and provide guidance on resolutions - Closely work with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks - Participate in technology governance groups that defines policies, best practices and make design decisions in on-going projects - Work in collaborative environments that follow agile project management methodologies like XP and Scrum - Work closely with BI and EDW System administrators for code migrations and production support- Debug process failures to understand root causes- Debug process failures and data anomaliesSkills- 6+ years of experience in hands-on delivery capacity with clearly defined responsibilities data integration and or data extract solutions- 4 plus years of experience in BI/EDW in application development using Data Stage- Ability to debug functional, data and performance issues - Working experience in Teradata, Oracle including performance tuning and debugging performance bottlenecks- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write most complex queries- Conceptual understanding of logical and physical data model is a must and a working experience is a plus- Strong development skills in advanced SQL and Shell Scripts - Thorough knowledge of EDW processes, policies and philosophies preferably the ones built for Healthcare Payers- Prior working experience in data integration / data extract technologies and debugging data related issues that arise in these areas- Ability to analyze job interdependencies and determine root cause of failures that result in data anomalies or process failures- Ability to work in a 24 x 7 setting as escalation contact- Excellent communication skillsNTT Data has immediate need for an experienced ETL / ELT developer with expertise in IBM Data Stage, SQL, Teradata/Oracle and data analysis to design and develop third party data extracts using data sourced from enterprise data warehouse.
