Job Description
Title
Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule
Variable shifts between 8, 10, and 12 hours, including Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays.

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not guaranteed

Requirements
- Valid professional license within the state of practice
- 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER & ICU experience may substitute for PACU nurse experience)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential recommended
- Other specialty-related certifications preferred (e.g., NIHSS, TNCC)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in recovery after surgery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs including body temperature and assess incision sites for stability and potential complications.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate patient condition and intervene as necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and care provided.

Compliance / Notes
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required before contract start date.
- Arrival at the facility the Thursday before assignment start date is required for health clearance appointment on Friday.
