Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1

Job Title

We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

The Impact You'll Make

This position is responsible for all shipping & receiving needs within our company and our farm locations. To be successful in this role the candidate will be able to work independently and within a team. We work together as a team daily and value dependability and reliability. Our team completes their DOT Driver certification through the company upon hire.

What You'll Be Responsible For

1. Unload shipment as necessary and route goods to appropriate storage areas
2. Ensure proper paperwork and inspect the quality of goods when receiving
3. Ensure that each received item has arrived at the appropriate location and is accounted for
4. Organize storage area daily to insure FIFO method is followed (First in first out)
5. Picking finished product required to fulfill customer order
6. Develop mailing and shipping labels for outgoing products
7. Determine the method of shipment, prepare bills, invoices, etc.
8. Organize customer orders for easy shipping
9. May operate machinery when loading, unloading, and transporting goods
10. Ensure proper and reliable communication with suppliers and sales team
11. Manage inventory/organization within storage areas to ensure safety and accountability
12. Transport product; Drive a box truck
13. Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Experience with a box truck and forklift driving or willingness to learn
• Ability to operate machinery, use a ladder, & lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a DOT physical & certification
• Box truck driving experience is a plus

• Basic computer proficiency
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Fast-paced worker
• Detail and quality oriented
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Knows safe storage and handling procedures for various materials and goods
