General Information: The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. We serve as the region’s healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of only two in Idaho), and the only emergency room in Idaho Falls. Additionally, we have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. We also offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults at its 74-bed Behavioral Health Center.

Typical hiring profile:

• Must have 2 years experience or an accredited course in Echo-cardiology
• Maintain a current registry or certification in Adult Echo
• Maintain a current registry or certification in vascular ultrasound
• Must be working toward attaining registries in all areas that are accredited

Typical procedures performed on unit(s): The majority of the patients for this area are being treated for cardiac problems. The patients are undergoing testing using ultrasound. The patients can be of a high acuity. The patients can range from neonatal to geriatric. The exposure to body fluids and blood is always present. Due to the stat nature of the procedures the area can be very stressful to work in.
