We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Tampa, Florida. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, guiding close activities, and ensuring balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping deliver timely financial results.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage general ledger activity and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling differences to ensure cash accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and support reporting needs.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and uphold internal controls across routine processes.• At least 3 years of accounting experience, including work in a senior-level or comparable capacity.
• Hands-on experience managing month-end close responsibilities in a structured accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate exceptions.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial work.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
