Finance Manager

Finance & Operations Manager | Charlotte, NC We're seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to provide financial leadership and accounting oversight for a growing professional-services organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both the strategic and day-to-day sides of finance. You'll work closely with firm leadership, oversee key accounting and financial processes, and lead and develop the Finance & Operations function. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, cash management and financial reporting Manage trust accounting and banking relationships Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Analyze financial results, trends and variances to support leadership decisions Oversee payroll and employee benefits processes Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures Partner with the firm's CPA and outside financial professionals Supervise and develop the Office & Operations Coordinator Improve processes, documentation, SOPs and cross-training as the organization grows What We're Looking For: 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Strong general accounting, reconciliation and financial reporting experience Excellent Excel and accounting-system skills Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to take ownership and work independently in a hands-on environment Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred Experience in a law firm or professional-services environment , trust accounting, QuickBooks, budgeting, payroll/benefits oversight, or working with outside CPAs is a plus. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. CPA is not required.
