Machinist II

dormakaba is seeking a 2nd Shift (2:00PM - 10:30PM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II will perform machine setups, tool changes, and make adjustments as necessary.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Hourly Salary $23hr. - $35/hr. plus $1.00/hr. shift differential. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

• Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
• Monitor and maintain equipment safely, load stock as required, keep the work area clean and organized, and empty scrap hoppers as needed.
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
• Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
• Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading/comprehension, and of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections

• Must be able to sit, stand, alternate sitting or standing at will, and walk

• Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, and balance

• Must also be able to effectively communicate within a manufacturing environment

• Documented manufacturing education/training
• Experience in applying similar quality control concepts
