Orthopedic - Total Joint Surgeon

Overview Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our staff.

Description The division is looking for a surgeon with fellowship training in total joint arthroplasty to support the focused service line for hip and knee replacement surgery. Bassett is committed to building a superior center for total joint replacement in the upstate New York region. The position does require participation in general call coverage.

Job Description & Responsibilities An established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC s) General Orthopedic Call Required 1:9 days- Dedicated Hospitalist for weekday coverage, shared call with whole Physician group APC 1 st call system in place Joint Replacement Center located at AO Fox Hospital, a 40-bed acute care hospital Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians Full Support Staff including APC s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction Group employed model

Compensation Salary Range :

$650,000-$750,000 This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000 Incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Job Qualifications MD, DO or MBBS Completion of an accredited residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility NYS Licensure BLS Certification Required Fellowship Trained DEA Required
