Associate Banker - Torrance (Crenshaw Blvd), CA

Job Summary Associate Banker – part‑time and full‑time positions to support the opening and growth of our new DeNovo branch. You will be the first point of contact for clients, delivering friendly, accurate service and identifying opportunities to connect customers with the right products and services. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying customer needs and providing guidance on financial solutions in the best interests of customers. Collaborate with BMO partners to promote banking solutions, identify referral opportunities, and build the customer relationship beyond personal banking. Guide customers through the branch lobby, offer advice on digital and self‑serve options, and make banking easy, simple, and fast. Contribute to meeting branch business results and overall customer experience. Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑up, filing, opening and closing activities. Probe for customer personal banking and credit card needs, integrate marketing promotions and programs into conversations, and provide strategic advice. Organize work information for accuracy and completeness, and take initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience. Follow risk and compliance processes and policies, protect customer assets, safeguard privacy, and act in the best interest of customers. Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and update skills as needed. Qualifications 1–2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In Canada: Registered to sell investment products, completed or in progress (completed within 12 months). Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools. Prior consultative customer service or sales experience, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions, and the ability to refer to specialists. Strong interpersonal skills, including rapport building, listening, problem solving, and flexibility. Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills. Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers. Readiness to collaborate with and work in different capacities as part of a team. Focus on results and the ability to thrive in a consultative, sales‑based, team environment. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $41,714.00 - $50,500.00 per year (Salaried). Part‑time roles are prorated. Commission structure may apply; expected target for first year included.
