Blood Collection Staff - Customer Service

Utilize healthcare and customer service skills to assist with the blood collection process including equipment setup, donor interaction, and safety procedures. Create a welcoming environment for donors and support the collection of lifesaving blood donations. Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning Be detailed oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused May drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to setup and tear down equipment at donation sites Work variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays and possible overnight travel Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles Basic computer skills are required Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred Prior leadership experience is preferred Skills Customer Service Verbal Communication Valid Driver's License Manual Dexterity Physical Stamina Basic Computer Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite Healthcare Experience Phlebotomy Donor Interaction Safety Procedures Equipment Setup Languages English #J-18808-Ljbffr Global Roles
