BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Office of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO). The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Public Affairs Specialist with promoting the Office of Tax and Revenue's Modernized Integrated Tax System and Taxpayer Access Portal (TAP) among District individuals and business taxpayers by generating awareness of and educating them on the benefits of the new portal. Duties include but are not limited to: performing a variety of tasks to include, providing internal and external communication services such as serving as a writer, copy editor and researcher of various documents such as brochures, pamphlets, and internal websites and social media platforms. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of progressive work experience to include creating visual designs and displays; developing written content; editing and producing professional materials; and researching information for documents, websites, and social media platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Specialized Experience
Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
