Change and Communications Specialist

Overview The Change & Communications Specialist supports enterprise change management, stakeholder engagement, and communications for PMO-led initiatives. This role helps drive adoption of new processes, ensures consistent messaging, and supports organizational readiness across stakeholders and teams. This is a hybrid role, however the candidate must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC. Responsibilities Support intake of new requests and assist with prioritization of change and communication activities. Develop and execute change management strategies, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement approaches. Create communication materials, including briefings, dashboards, status updates, and awareness content. Support recurring communication cycles, reporting cadences, and change review processes. Assist in developing training, job aids, and awareness materials for PMO processes and initiatives. Monitor adoption, gather feedback, and assess the effectiveness of change initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, organizational development, business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3 or more years of experience in change management, communications, organizational transformation, or a related area. Experience supporting enterprise IT, PMO, or organizational change initiatives preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable messaging. Prosci Change Management Certification, Organizational Change Management credentials, or similar certification preferred. Experience supporting federal or public sector environments preferred.
