Infusion RN with WV or compact license and at least 2 years of chemotherapy/infusion experience for a cancer center infusion unit.

Details

• Infusion Center setting within a Cancer Center
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with a daily caseload of approximately 70 patients
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required to sister facilities or outside scope
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS certification required through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• OCN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including 1-2 years of chemotherapy/infusion experience
• Experience with IV therapy and infusions required
• Experience administering and monitoring chemotherapy required
• Experience accessing and managing ports preferred
• Inpatient and outpatient oncology experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience required
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Clean license history required; no prior suspensions allowed, probations considered case-by-case

Additional Information

• Provide infusion nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring in an oncology setting
• Skills utilized include CBCT/kV/mV imaging, external beam therapy, IMRT, prophylactic treatments, and radiation safety
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Orientation held every other Thursday
• Flu vaccine required unless a documented medical allergy exemption is provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-99 miles may be considered case-by-case at facility approval
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the broader health system (including CAMC, Mon Health, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
• No RTO restrictions
