Montessori 4K Teacher Opening – Starting September 2026

We are seeking a Montessori 4K Teacher for the school year beginning September 2026 . This position can be designed around the right candidate and offers 32–40 hours per week .

Qualifications:

• Montessori training required
• DPI certification not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education may also be considered

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori 4K Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of four-year-old children. Your expertise in Montessori methods will foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning while supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young lives positively and contribute to a dynamic educational community committed to excellence. We are participating in the Kids Get Ready program through the state of Wisconsin.

This position will have a co-teacher who has been with us for many years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Montessori-based curriculum plans that promote hands-on learning, literacy education, math skills, and early intervention strategies tailored for preschool-aged children.
• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence while maintaining high standards of classroom management.
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including behavior management and social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor student progress through observations and assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable.
• Parent communication including at least 2 conferences per year.
• Incorporate physical education and motor skill development into daily routines to promote overall child welfare and health.
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and behavioral observations to inform instruction and communicate effectively with families.
• Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Valid Montessori certification or credential for 4K or preschool teaching is required.
• Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings, preferably in preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education alongside math instruction.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques for creating an organized learning environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, early intervention practices, and fostering inclusive learning experiences.
