Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering specialized instruction for students in resource or self-contained settings, collaborating with classroom teachers and related service providers, and fostering a supportive, individualized learning environment. You'll help develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and communicate regularly with families and staff to ensure students’ goals are met.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Active Special Education certification in Kansas
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with both elementary and secondary age groups
- Knowledge of special education best practices and legal compliance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to advocating for students’ academic and social-emotional growth
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and modifying lessons for diverse learning profiles
- Providing direct instruction and academic support
- Writing and updating IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collecting and analyzing data to inform instructional decisions
- Engaging in ongoing professional development
This position starts in August and runs through late May, aligning with the school calendar. You’ll enjoy the continuity of working with your students across the school year, supported by a collaborative school staff.
