Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity calls for dedicated Special Education Teachers interested in working with either elementary or secondary learners in a supportive educational environment. Multiple positions are available, with needs for both resource and specialized (self-contained) SPED teachers. You’ll work onsite at a single location during standard school hours, collaborating closely with students, staff, and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education (SPED) Certification for the state of Kansas—required
• Experience working with students in elementary and/or secondary settings preferred
• Familiarity with resource or self-contained classroom environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom climate

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support each learner
• Develop accommodations and modifications tailored to students’ unique needs
• Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and school support staff
• Demonstrate flexibility in managing varying caseloads within your assigned building
