This contract opportunity near Rosamond, CA allows you to work directly with students to help them develop vital communication skills, collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education law
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize workload efficiently and adapt to changing caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluate students referred for speech-language concerns
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions for students with communication disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective carryover of skills and progress towards IEP goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and Medicaid billing, if required
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Offer consultation and training to school personnel to support student needs
• Stay up to date with best practices within the field of speech-language pathology
