Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Kannapolis, NC, in finding a House Manager for their family of four, including two children, ages 4 months and 3 years old.

Schedule: 20 hours per week

• Monday & Thursday: approximately 4 hours per day, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

• Monday is for post-weekend recovery. Thursday is for pre-weekend prep, so the family does not have any household chores heading into Friday.

• Tuesday & Wednesday: approximately 6 hours per day, 10/11:00 AM to 4/5:00 PM

• Tuesday and Wednesday would include a focus on operational support and flexible childcare during the heaviest solo-parenting days of the week.

The best House Manager for this family would be dedicated to keeping the household running smoothly. Ideally, the candidate is kind, organized, and punctual, with a strong ability to manage the day-to-day rhythm of the home. Core responsibilities include laundry, dishes, tidying, rotating and organizing household items, running errands, and restocking supplies and grocery shopping as needed. The House Manager will also be needed to help clean up after meals and pitch in with light meal prep when asked. Beyond daily upkeep, this role involves coordinating household vendors and being present at the home to oversee vendors as needed. Day-to-day tasks can vary, so flexibility and the ability to adapt and anticipate the needs of the household are important. A candidate who can walk into a chaotic room, identify the priorities (does not need a check list fromm the family), and execute without needing to ask for direction would be the best fit for this family.

The mom of the family is a stay-at-home mom and primarily cares for the children each day. The family is looking for someone to come in and help with household tasks, enabling the mom to be able to spend more quality time with the children during the day.

Once the House Manager has worked in the home for a period of time, the mom may occasionally ask the House Manager to help with childcare if she needs to attend an appointment or run an errand outside of this home. This need would be rare, but a House Manager who is comfortable caring for children would be a bonus. The House Manager should also understand how to work efficiently in a home while respecting the family's privacy and space.

Household Duties Include:

• Execute daily tidying, put away children's toys, and reset all main living spaces

• Manage all family laundry, including washing, folding, putting away, and organizing closets

• Assist with dinner prep (washing, chopping, organizing ingredients). Note: The ability to fully meal-prep is considered a major plus.

• Loading/Unloading dishwasher and cleaning up after meals

• Help establish and maintain organizational systems in all rooms of the house

• Grocery shopping

• Keeping an organized list of household supplies and restocking as needed (pantry, paper goods, cleaning supplies)

• Rotating household toys and clothes as needed

• Seasonal decorating

• Personal shopping and errands

• Amazon returns and mail processing

• Coordinating and being present for household vendors

Flexible Childcare (Secondary Focus):

• Seamlessly pivot to childcare duties to allow the mother to leave the house for errands, workouts, or personal breaks.

• While this is not a full-time nanny role, the candidate must be highly experienced, comfortable, and fully capable of sole-charge care for a toddler and an infant when required.

• Should be comfortable shifting gears from tidying the kitchen to watching the girls when needed.

Pets: The family has one standard Goldendoodle who is very tame and friendly. The House Manager would be responsible for letting him out in the backyard if needed (he has an e-collar and invisible fence).

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional House Management experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver's license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including childhood vaccines and TDAP, before starting the position

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $28 to $35 an hour, negotiable depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away
