Preschool Assistant

FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH & PRESCHOOL is hiring a Preschool Assistant in Collierville, TN Summary This position is working with our 2-5 year‑olds in individual age classes (2, 3, 4, or 5) from 2:30‑5:30 Monday‑Friday. Students have free play, snack, circle time, reading/cuddle time, gross motor play and sometimes extracurricular activities as scheduled. Assistants will facilitate the activities and supervise play and mealtimes. We are always accepting applications for this role. Duties Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of materials Follow Center policies Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation of children Supervise snack time, gross motor play on the playground or in the gym, facilitate play in the centers Help ensure smooth transition from the Preschool to home Convey any classroom information to parents upon pick‑up. Maintain professional relationships with parents and other staff. Requirements Must be at least a High School Graduate and 21 years old Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to stand for up to three hours Must be active enough to keep pace with small children Must be of the Christian Faith Nice To Haves High Energy with a positive disposition Ability to work well with others Strong understanding of Child Development Must Clear the background Check Must pass a health Screening Strong Communication Skills 1-2 Years experience working in a Childcare setting Paid CPR/1St Aid Training Personal Time Off School year schedule with School holiday days off Some Paid Holidays Minimum Education: High School or Equivalent #J-18808-Ljbffr Child Care Resources Inc
