Position: Full-Time

Status: Exempt / Salaried
Hourly Rate: $90,000 - Negotiable (3 levels based on experience and education)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Department: Executive Leadership Team

Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and serves as the agencys senior financial strategist, responsible for safeguarding financial health, strengthening long-term sustainability, and building a modern, data-informed financial infrastructure.

The CFO oversees all financial operationsincluding accounting, budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle management, procurement, facilities finance, grants and contracts accounting, and financial reportingwhile leading the agency through CCBHC cost-reporting readiness, value-based reimbursement, and digital modernization.

This role requires a collaborative, innovative, equity-informed leader who can stabilize current systems while designing the financial architecture needed for future growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial System Stabilization Strengthen financial systems, cash flow, internal controls, and CCBHC costreporting readiness while resolving billing and accounting workflow gaps.
  • Financial Strategy & Planning Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and longterm sustainability planning; advise the CEO and Board on financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Operations & Modernization Oversee accounting, payroll, AP/AR, procurement, facilities finance, and monthly closes; modernize financial systems, policies, and workflows; build and mentor the finance team.
  • Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement Lead billing, collections, payer compliance, and revenue optimization; manage reimbursement methodologies and CCBHC financial modeling; prepare for valuebased payment.
  • Risk Management & Compliance Identify and mitigate financial risks; lead audits; ensure fiscal accountability and regulatory alignment across financial operations.
  • Organizational Growth & Partnerships Provide financial analysis for expansion, partnerships, and investments; represent FYI+ with auditors, funders, and government partners; support strategic planning with datadriven insights.

What You Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Masters degree (often preferred): MBA; Masters in Finance or Accounting
  • Professional certifications (highly valued): CPA (Certified Public Accountant); CMA (Certified Management Accountant); CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst); CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant)

Extensive Financial Leadership Experience -1015+ years of progressive financial management experience, including:

  • Leading accounting, budgeting, and financial planning teams
  • Managing audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting
  • Overseeing cash flow, investments, and capital structure
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships
  • Prior experience as a VP of Finance, Controller, or Director of Finance
