About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, LA Fire Card required Must-Have: Strong neuro experience required Must have experience with cardiovascular, multi-trauma, gunshot wounds, stroke and STEMI patients. Experience with motor vehicle accidents and orthopedic cases is also needed. Description: This is an intense environment requiring high acuity care. The unit serves a diverse patient population and includes overflow beds. Candidates must have experience in a level 2 trauma center and a thrombectomy-capable stroke center. Key responsibilities include managing critical patients, administering emergency medications, and monitoring complex medical conditions. Skills in Arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and managing multiple systems organ dysfunction are essential. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Floating between similar units may be required. Weekend coverage is included in the schedule. The ideal candidate will be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
