Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the picturesque region near Sylva, NC. You’ll provide essential speech and language services across 1-2 school locations, beginning as soon as possible through May 27, 2027. With a robust schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll play an integral role in helping students achieve their communication goals for the academic year.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active North Carolina SLPA license required
• Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to start contract ASAP and commit through the end date
• Proficiency with typical SLPA duties (assessments, therapy, documentation, progress reporting)
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel between 1-2 assigned school sites as needed
• Successful completion of required fingerprinting and district background checks
• Supervision will be provided by the district

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP-CCC
• Implement individualized treatment goals for students within the school environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and service delivery
• Participate in team meetings and planning sessions, with paid administration time included
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
