Human Resources Assistant

Description This Position is Hybrid with Two in‑Office Days Per Week. Summary Our work is fast‑paced and hands‑on. You will process a high volume of Workday (Human Capital Management HCM) transactions daily, create spreadsheets with formulas and pivot tables, handle financial transactions (AP/AR), time‑keeping, badging, troubleshoot issues, and answer various HR questions. You’ll work cross‑departmentally and become a go‑to resource in Employee Support Services. It is a role where you can build strong HR knowledge while making a direct impact every day. Core Daily Responsibilities Workday HCM Task/Transactions: Review, make determinations, and process daily tasks/transactions pertaining to the management of county personnel functions. Assist county department staff in researching, troubleshooting a variety of Workday issues pertaining to the management of county personnel functions. Respond to inquiries and provide information about human resources guidelines, policies, regulations or procedures. Process personnel transactions, input information into various computerized systems. Monitor, audit, and rectify as needed various reports. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions. Assist with expense claims, purchasing, and create requisitions and purchase orders. Develop and implement internal office procedures; recommend changes in procedures or guidelines to facilitate effectiveness. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, employees and the general public. Assist human resource staff in conducting and administering a variety of human resource functions such as recruitment and selection processes; wage and compensation surveys; leave administration; training; and employee relations activities. Assist with research projects; prepare written reports and statistical data. Conduct surveys of other employers’ practices. Take notes during investigatory and other confidential meetings. Minimum Qualifications Four years of general office/administrative experience. At least 1 year of human resource related experience. Post‑secondary education may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience on a year‑for‑year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Workday (HRIS/HCM system). Experience in NeoGov (Applicant Tracking System). Bachelor’s degree in human resources. As a condition of employment, the applicant must authorize and complete a background check.
