Job Coach (Employment Specialist)

Job Responsibilities Offer job‑coaching services and support to individuals with disabilities at their place of employment. Advocate for individuals and make necessary accommodations when needed. Support clients in developing and enhancing effective social skills for workplace success. Design and implement behavior‑management training strategies to support client success. Collaborate with staff and employment personnel to develop and implement Individual Support Plans for clients. Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the employment support team to support client success. Manage a caseload of clients. Connect clients with appropriate community resources to support their employment and personal development needs. Demonstrate basic computer skills and proficiency with relevant software applications. Exhibit the ability to demonstrate professional writing skills. Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation to ensure compliance and record‑keeping standards are met. Maintain clear and professional communication with employers and state providers to support client employment outcomes. Demonstrate strong organizational and time‑management skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational needs and client success. Job Specifications Education: High School Diploma or GED. Some college preferred. Preferred experience: Work experience with individuals with disabilities or background in social service. Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be very flexible. Excellent professional writing skills and good computer skills are preferred. CPR & First Aid training. Work Hours: Must have a reliable vehicle, license, and valid insurance and have the availability to work a flexible schedule. Physical Requirements: Using fine and gross motor skills. Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop and reach.
