In addition, MetroHealth has been designated a Spinal Cord Injury Model System by the National Institutes of Health, one of only 18 such centers nationally.\n \n \nJoin our Neuro Trauma Recovery Spinal Cord Injury Physical Rehab Unit, 6N!\n \n \nPrimary Patient Population:\n \n \n \n Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) \n \n \n \nPrimary skills utilized/learned:\n \n \n \n Ventilator/Trach Care \n SCI retraining (Bowel & Bladder management program) \n Wound prevention and care \n Specialty treatment and technology for regain of function \n Rehabilitation specific education for patient/family \n \n \n \nPersonnel RN will work with:\n \n \n \n LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians \n \n \n \nNumber of beds on unit:\n \n \n \n 24 beds \n \n \n \nAwards or Recognitions the unit has received:\n \n \n \n National Model System \n \n \n \nMetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance.
