Housekeeping Supervisor

The Hotel Felix Chicago has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor. The Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor will supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping staff. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we want to meet you. Compensation $27 per hour Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; further education or hospitality certification is a plus. Experience: Proven experience as a room attendant or in a previous supervisory role in a hotel/hospitality setting. Skills: Strong leadership, delegation, and team motivation abilities. Working knowledge of commercial cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and sanitation standards. Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities The housekeeping supervisor acts as the operational bridge between executive management and frontline cleaning staff. They handle morning shift setups, inspect rooms for quality control, track inventory, and collaborate with the front desk to coordinate room readiness. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Inspection: Inspect guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas to verify cleanliness and safety compliance. Update room statuses in the property management system and coordinate with maintenance for repairs. Staff Management: Conduct morning briefings, assign cleaning sections to room attendants, distribute keys, and manage staff schedules or replacements for absences. Training & Quality Control: Train new hires on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and brand standards. Coach team members to improve performance and maintain professional hygiene and appearance standards. Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels for linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies, placing orders as needed. Manage lost-and-found items and department logs. Guest Relations: Respond promptly to guest complaints or special requests and resolve on-the-spot service issues. #J-18808-Ljbffr
