Construct bill of materials for robots and auxiliary equipment. Provide general mechanical engineering support for field work. Act as technical lead for mechanical engineering team, and oversee ME department standards, quality of design and deliverables.Essential ME Duties and Responsibilities:3D modeling of custom automation equipment to include but not limited to robotic end of arm tools, assorted peripheral / auxiliary material handling equipment, etcModify and adapt existing library components for use on similar or new project applicationsCreate mechanical designs according to industry safety standardsDevelop 2D drawings for:Automated production cellsAuxiliary equipmentIndividual parts (manufacturing drawings)Material processing in SAP softwarePrepare complete bill of materials for production ordersAdd new materials for custom parts as necessaryMaintain and update the bill of material for delivered equipment as necessarySubmit items and equipment for procurementGenerate specifications to ensure ENGEL standardsParticipate in project kick-off meetings, design review meetings, factory acceptance tests, training, and other relevant meetings as necessaryCreate documentation included but not limited to spare parts lists, layouts, wear items, etc.Provide technical support to other team members throughout the company as necessaryAssist with the project quoting efforts by providing mechanical engineering labor and material estimates as necessaryPerform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisorAssists internal Production Assembly and Integration personnel with the pre-assembly of new builds and retrofits, prior to shipping.Support cross functional team with appropriate documentation and clarification as required to facilitate proper project workflow.Essential Leadership Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and role model best practices and use of all standards and checkpointsCreating/maintaining ME specific standardsCreate peer reviews and quality check methods, help arrange useGuide ME team on cost effective design for manufacturing practicesAssist team to arrange peer reviews and quality checksWith Eng.
