HR Manager

Strategic HR Business Partner

This role will act as a strategic HR business partner to business leaders while remaining hands on in managing the full spectrum of HR operations in Philippines. The incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing the Human Resources HR practices across Southeast Asia (SEA).

This position requires both strategic leadership and operational execution, combining regional oversight with deep involvement in local HR matters.

Philippines HR

• Lead end-to-end HR operations in the Philippines, including recruitment support, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance.
• Act as the primary HR business partner to Philippines leadership team.
• Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding.
• Handle employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
• Support leadership in enhancing organizational effectiveness and team performance.
• Implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and culture.
• Facilitate performance management processes including goal setting, reviews, and development planning.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and lead recruitment processes for Philippines and support regionally.
• Manage onboarding programs and ensure smooth integration of new hires.
• Lead annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, and compensation adjustments.
• Manage and administer local benefits programs in the Philippines; provide oversight across SEA.
• Ensure competitive and compliant reward practices aligned with market benchmarks.
• Ensure implementation and localization of global HR policies.
• Manage adherence to employment laws in the Philippines and provide guidance on regional compliance.
• Support HR projects such as systems implementation, engagement surveys, and training programs.
• Act as a key point of contact for HR-related queries across the region.

Regional HR Leadership

• Provide strategic HR oversight for SEA, partnering with country stakeholders and HR support teams.
• Ensure alignment of HR strategies, policies, and practices across SEA with overall business objectives.
• Guide and support local HR teams/resources to ensure consistency, compliance, and effectiveness.
• Drive regional HR initiatives including talent management, workforce planning, and organizational design.
• Monitor and analyze regional HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with regional exposure preferred.
• Strong hands on experience managing HR operations in the Philippines.
• Proven experience in overseeing or supporting multiple countries within SEA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippines labor laws and HR practices; exposure to SEA employment regulations is an advantage.
• Experience in HR business partnering, organizational design, and change management.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across different cultures.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High level of adaptability, resilience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with regional oversight responsibilities.
