The HR Manager integrates strategic thinking, business acumen, and day-to-day HR leadership across recruiting, talent, performance management, employee engagement, compliance and organizational effectiveness.The ideal candidate is a practical, empathetic leader, and trusted advisor to senior leaders. This person builds strong relationships, provides coaching, and fosters a collaborative environment that supports quality, innovation, and a customer-focused culture.What you will do:Partnership & Business AcumenPartner with site and business leaders to align on business objectives each day to provide HR guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance, and organizational needs.Demonstrate agility by adapting HR approaches to evolving business conditions, priorities, and workforce needs.Talent & Organizational Effectiveness Lead core talent activities, including recruiting support, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and onboarding for new hires.Problem Solving & Employee RelationsCoach managers through employee issues, team challenges, and development opportunities while helping create a positive, high-performing work environment.Operational Excellence & ComplianceOversee day-to-day HR operations such as benefits support, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment laws and company practices.Change Management & AgilitySupport organizational changes and site initiatives by helping leaders communicate effectively, manage transitions, and reinforce company culture.Who you are:Builds trust quickly and forms strong relationships across all levels of the organization.Communicates with clarity, confidence, and empathy in both sensitive conversations and everyday interactions.Coaches and influences leaders effectively while balancing support, accountability, and sound judgment.Approaches challenges with emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to navigate complex situations with discretion.Brings a collaborative, practical mindset that helps align people needs with business priorities.What you will need:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or HR certification is preferred.Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience in HR Business Partner roles.Skills, Experience & AbilitiesExperience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or other technical teams is helpful in this role.Strong HR experience in areas such as leadership coaching, talent development, employee relations, compliance, and benefits.Experience working in a matrixed or global organization is a plus.Who we are:Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks, aftermarket parts and technology and energy solutions that are transforming the way the world moves materials from Port to Home.
