Occupational Therapist Assistant

Schedule: Days, 8 hours M-F, flexible times

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• 1 year of Occupational Therapist Assistant experience
• Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions for patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document treatment interventions and patient progress in the electronic documentation system, maintaining accurate records according to policy.
• Participate in meetings related to patient care, training, and other facility activities, contributing to the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
