General Purpose of Job The Quality Management Specialist is responsible for assisting in the implementation of quality systems and for developing System of Care (SOC) policies and procedures. This role involves reviewing case files, assessments and documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements, agency policies, and best practices. The Quality Management Specialist collaborates with case management, supervisors and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to enhance service delivery and outcomes for children and families. Conduct thorough reviews of case files, including assessments, investigative reports, and service plans, to assess compliance with legal mandates, agency policies, and quality standards. 2. Monitor psychotropic medications and ensure compliance with state, federal and policy standards. 3. Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of case documentation, ensuring that all required information is appropriately documented and maintained. 4. Review and track Child Placement Agreements to ensure compliance with state requirements. 5. Identify strengths, patterns and areas for improvement in case management practices, documentation, and service delivery through systematic reviews and analysis. 6. Collaborate and provide technical assistance to caseworkers, supervisors, and other stakeholder to enhance the quality and effectiveness of interventions and services. 7. Develop and implement quality improvement training and resources to support continuous education. 8. Participate in case review meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and other forums to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned. 9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information and case- related discussions. 10. Review incident reports to determine next steps related to psychotropic medications and/or child placement agreements. 11. Conduct regular audits of psychotropic medication and child placement agreements. 12. Analyze and prepare weekly performance reports. 13. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and agency goals, as needed and appropriate to the position. 14. Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform required field-based activities. 15. Maintain regular in-office attendance when not performing required field-based duties in order to carry out essential job functions, collaborate effectively with team members, participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, access agency resources and systems, and provide timely support for agency operations and service delivery. Working HOurs Children’s Network of Hillsborough’s standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is an in-office based position that averages 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary outside of these standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet operational demands. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and agency policies, including applicable overtime and other compensation requirements. Travel Travel within and outside of Hillsborough County is required. Training All employees are required to complete fifteen (15) hours of training annually, which may be completed online or in a classroom setting. Employees who hold a credential or license relevant to their position must ensure that all training and continuing education requirements are met to maintain their credential or licensure. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, sociology or related human services required. Master’s degree preferred. Certification as a credentialed Child Welfare Case Manager through Florida Certification Board. A minimum of two years of experience in the field of child welfare is preferred.
