SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction & General Industry in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment. This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Texas. Overview Of Job Responsibilities Support multiple client accounts across the Texas region in both construction and general industry environments. Provide ongoing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to assigned clients. Conduct jobsite and facility safety assessments and audits. Identify workplace hazards and recommend practical risk reduction solutions. Assist clients with OSHA compliance and regulatory requirements. Develop, review, and update written safety programs, policies, and procedures. Deliver safety training and education to employees and supervisors. Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses. Support the development and implementation of corrective actions. Provide day-to-day safety guidance and technical support. Partner with client leadership, supervisors, and employees to understand operational risks. Evaluate safety performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Develop recommendations to strengthen safety culture and performance. Independently manage multiple client accounts and priorities. Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and professional service. Prepare professional reports, assessments, findings, and recommendations. Coordinate additional technical resources and subject matter experts when specialized support is needed. Travel throughout Texas to support client operations and projects. Participate in overnight travel as required by client needs and project schedules. Serve as a trusted safety advisor and resource for client organizations.
