Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Social Worker is needed for the upcoming Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) terms. Situated near Sterling Heights, MI, this contract position focuses on fostering student well-being and supporting individual educational goals in a dynamic and caring environment.

Assignment Details:

• ESY: June 30, 2026 – August 6, 2026 (up to 25 hours per week)
• NSY: August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (up to 35 hours per week)
• Candidates must be available for both terms.
• Onsite role only, supporting a diverse K-12 special education student population.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan School Social Worker certification (310) required—please submit a copy with your application.
• Candidates without certification must arrange formal supervision before interviewing.
• Experience serving K-12 student populations, preferably in special education settings.
• Demonstrated understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop and implement IEPs.
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and support crisis intervention efforts.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
