Summary
Now hiring a Panel Builder to build custom industrial electrical control panels from schematics. If you're an experienced Panel Builder who can read electrical prints, lay out components, and complete full panel wiring/assembly with strong quality and safety habits, this is a high-skill, hands-on role with steady weekday hours. Every build is unique-ideal for a Panel Builder who likes problem-solving, precision wiring, and working from industrial control panel electrical schematics (not circuit boards or wire harnesses).
Responsibilities
- Interpret electrical prints, industrial control panel schematics, and work instructions independently
- Perform full panel assembly: layout, mounting, wiring, and component installation
- Identify layout/material discrepancies and communicate issues to the lead
- Use hand tools and power tools to build panels to spec and workmanship standards
- Accurately use measurement tools (tape measure, T-square, torque wrench, scale)
- Support field installs and service calls as needed
- Maintain quality checks, safety compliance, and clean/organized workstations
- Work independently while supporting team workflow and production priorities
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years experience in panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial electrical work
- Proven ability to read and build from industrial electrical schematics (control panels)
- Comfortable with wiring, component installation, and layout work for custom builds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions precisely
- Experience using measurement equipment and common shop tools
- Ability to work onsite and meet a consistent weekday schedule
- Forklift / crane / rigging experience is a plus (as needed for builds)
- Technical or vocational training (electrical/industrial) is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years experience in panel building, electrical assembly, or industrial electrical work
- Proven ability to read and build from industrial electrical schematics (control panels)
- Comfortable with wiring, component installation, and layout work for custom builds
