Cable Assembly Technician Troy, MI
Responsible for assembling and testing product per process specifications. This role is focused on cutting cable and crimping.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut wire
- Operate small hand crimp tools
- Perform a variety of assembly operations involving the application of connectors and hardware on wire harnesses
- Apply heat shrink, sleeving, labels and spot tie as required
- Coiling of individual or multiple wires per specified dimension
- Soldering of terminals and wire per customer specifications
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Ability to read cable assembly prints
- Ability to manage small work cell
- Ability to build multibranch assemblies
- Experience with crimping and soldering
- Experience terminating/assembly Harting connectors
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing work instructions is preferred, but willing to train
- Ability to read a ruler and understand measurement systems
- Previous manufacturing experience in electronics helpful
