Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing essential occupational therapy services to students in an intermediate school serving grades 3-5. Located near Schaumburg, IL, this opportunity is ideal for OTs passionate about supporting students’ fine motor and sensory development. The role is scheduled from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm and offers flexibility between 2 to 3 days per week (either 2 full workdays or more days with shorter hours), spanning the academic year from September 8, 2026, through June 16, 2027.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in the 3rd-5th grade range
- Familiarity with educational settings, providing both consultative and direct OT services for fine motor and sensory needs
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with educators, staff, and families
- Commitment to helping students achieve their goals and reach their potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with teachers and staff to design intervention strategies for students with occupational therapy needs
- Deliver direct fine motor and sensory support services to approximately 25 students in one building
- Evaluate student progress and document outcomes in compliance with IEP goals and school policies
- Provide recommendations and resources to support classroom participation and access
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
