Sr. Cost Accountant

Schedule: Fully onsite during training, with potential for a hybrid schedule afterward Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join the corporate accounting team of a growing, multi-location organization. This individual will support general accounting and financial reporting while playing an important role in the company’s transition from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate will have strong month-end close experience, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on Sage experience. Responsibilities Prepare and post month-end journal entries. Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and account analysis. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Analyze financial results and investigate account discrepancies and variances. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed. Maintain fixed-asset records and depreciation schedules. Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audits. Ensure compliance with GAAP, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting. Support the migration from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct. Assist with accounting-system enhancements and process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least five years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Hands-on Sage experience; Sage Intacct is strongly preferred. Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis. Ability to work fully onsite in South Easton during the training period. Preferred Experience CPA certification or currently working toward a CPA. Previous public accounting experience. Experience in staffing, professional services, or another multi-location or multi-entity organization. Experience supporting an ERP implementation or accounting-system conversion.
