Position: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Unit Overview

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a critical care environment dedicated to providing optimal patient care. Located on the 2nd floor, the unit consists of 22 beds and a well-staffed team of 60 professionals. Our ICU operates on a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:2, occasionally requiring a 1:1 ratio based on patient needs.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Perform essential procedures including rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, and EVD insertions.
Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Skills:

Trauma credentials (TNCC, CATN, TCAR)
Post-operative cardiac surgery experience
