Senior Software Engineering Lead - C++ Low Latency

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 10+ years of applied experience
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in C and C++
• Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting, including setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant practices and controls
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep expertise in one or more technical disciplines such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile
• Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with minimal oversight
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Background in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
• Preferred: hands-on experience in the financial services industry

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business stakeholders, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Shape decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert across the firm in one or more areas of focus
• Contribute to the engineering community by championing firmwide frameworks, tools, and software development lifecycle practices
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider adopting leading-edge technologies
• Foster a team culture grounded in diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Guide adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish measurable validation standards and encourage reuse of proven patterns and automation across the SDLC/TLM toolchain
