Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist

Schedule

This position requires rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Call and weekend availability is mandatory, with a call response time of 30 minutes.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist with expertise in cardiovascular procedures. This role involves participation in surgeries related to cardiology, requiring a solid understanding of various specialties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field and manage surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Prepare patient and equipment for surgery; ensure all necessary supplies are available.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, including safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certification from NCCT or NBSTSA is mandatory; no other certifications accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR); 3 years preferred.
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years.
• Recent travel experience (minimum of 1 year).
• Strong experience in cardiac robotics, LVAD, and heart transplant procedures.
• Versatile in other surgical specialties such as General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, and Robotics.
