Schedule/Shift

Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM with call requirements. Call is required Monday through Sunday every four weeks. Specific call hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 AM.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing timely imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include changing imaging parameters to study soft tissue, the arterial system, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without the use of contrast media.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans on patients as requested by the attending physician.
• Adjust imaging parameters based on patient needs and protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain imaging equipment and software necessary for MRI operations.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

Certifications/Licensure

• Preferred but not required: Graduate of an accredited AMA school.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) preferred.
• State License as a general radiographer preferred.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Registry (MR) through ARRT preferred.
