Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to support revenue recognition, month‑end close, and accounting process improvements with a strong emphasis on automation and accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Experience in the utilities or renewable energy sector is strongly preferred.

Location: Remote (US Based) or Charlotte, NC
Contract Duration: 6 months | W2
Responsibilities:
- Support revenue accounting and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
- Manage and execute month‑end close activities related to revenue.
- Assist with technical accounting matters related to revenue recognition.
- Drive process automation initiatives, including advanced use of Power Query.
- Participate in accounting projects, research, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Background in utilities or renewable energy.
- Strong, hands‑on experience with Power Query.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience supporting month‑end close processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in revenue accounting or related finance/accounting roles.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting accounting projects or technical accounting research.
