Surgical First Assistant (RNFA) - Surgery Department

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM or Monday-Friday 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant (RNFA) to join our dynamic Surgery Department. This role requires a nurse with first assist experience utilizing the DaVinci Robot across various surgical specialties, including Ortho Spine, Gynecology, Neurology, and General Surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgeries, demonstrating expertise in DaVinci robotic techniques.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
• Maintain excellent communication with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Adapt to varying surgical situations as they arise during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of current surgical experience.
• First Assist experience with DaVinci Robot highly required.
• RN license and RNFA certification are mandatory.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Spine and Neurosurgery instrumentation preferred.
• Strong physician communication and relationship management skills.
